How I changed the way I look at feedback to feel more grateful

I received a LinkedIn DM yesterday saying, “the link to your content in the newsletter is broken.”

My first thought? Damn!

“You fucked up a little, didn’t you?” (It was a software issue from ConvertKit so it wasn’t me, thank god.)

Anyway, I sent the link in the DM to my subscriber.

Not only was she happy to receive it but also complimented my newsletter.

And the link she wanted access to? All my previous editions.

My perspective shifted after having this conversation.

I felt grateful.

Why? Because a subscriber showed effort.

→ She contacted me
→ She appreciated my work
→ She informed me to get it fixed
→ She wanted to read more of what I had on offer

Lesson: People care about the thoughts and ideas you put out into the world.

Don’t stop publishing just because you think you haven’t achieved the success you envisioned.

I almost have 1000 subscribers and I’ve been writing my newsletter since 18 months.

Great growth? Hell no!
Meaningful community? Hell yes!

Focus on the good.
And the good will get better.

Here’s to never stopping hitting publish! 🥂
