If you’ve been following me for a while here, you know I love to explain anything with examples.

So here are 7 ways to write a good headline fast…

Headline 1

This headline is short, simple and specific.

There are numbers related to authority, outcome and timeframe.

Plus, it positions the product as a painkiller, not a vitamin.

Headline 2

The goodbye headline is a great way to position your product as a solution.

It could be a one word or a one sentence explanation.

This is pretty simple and that’s why it works. Especially if your market is informed enough.

Headline 3

I like this headline because it positions the product bigger than it’s market.

It’s not a drinkable supplement but a whole new category.

Plus, its talking about routine, use case and outcome… Rather than the obvious benefit.

Headline 4

This one adds a more visual flavour to the headline by starting with the phrase switch on.

Plus, a word like this allows you to make your entire creative more interactive (like the on-off toggle-like icons)

Headline 5

The anti-positive headline is one of my favourites.

It grabs attention and if you can really justify the negative stance, you have a winner.

Frame your product as so bad that it’s actually good.

Headline 6

This one does a classic misdirection and I love it because it’s so in line with the brand messaging.

Jambys is about chilling so it makes sense that it’s meant more for watching an activity on your couch than doing that activity.

Gotta love the play on words here.

Headline 7

One of the best ways to make your headline more relatable is to make it more tangible.

Like this headline uses a simple equation to highlight the obvious benefit and outcome.

Less guesswork, more value.
