How to Write Better Ads Based on Core Human Emotions
Good ads focus on messaging.
Great ads focus on core human emotions.
Here are the 5 best ones I collected this week (and what you can learn from them)
The messaging is engaging but it plays on a deeper desire.
The one to look and feel good for the new year.
It targets the emotion of self-improvement and feeling confident in your skin.
I like how the messaging is problem focused.
But you know what? It plays on the deeper core emotion of convenience.
There are plenty of good quilts but if it actually helps you with better sleep, this is the one to go for.
This, yet again, is problem-solution messaging but it does something different.
It appeals to the desire of being superior so the customer can feel like they’ll win with this product.
It’s not promoting working less hours but to give you something that keeps up with your hectic schedule.
It’s a skincare product for red light therapy.
But look at the core emotions of social success and attractiveness it’s targeting.
Ultimately, skincare isn’t skincare. It’s about looking good.
I know it’s just toilet paper but hear me out… If it’s organic, sustainable and helps the planet, people will brag about it because it raises their social status.
It’s the only toilet paper in the world that can start a healthy conversation about the planet.
And makes you look informed and educated.
